One small village called Dharmapuram, full of coconut trees and paddy field with the blessing of the sound of sea waves with lot of poor people. This is the village where our Pastor G.Appathurai born.
He was born and brought up in a Hindu background during the year 1963. He is the youngest son of his father. He is having two more brothers and one sister also living along with him in that village. He was studying in a small mission school.
Finally our founder found the Light of the World...
During this period he came to know about Jesus Christ, but not having any effect on this in his life. But when he was studying in the middle school and college, he came to thing about the true God. One day while he was worshiping idols, some one told in his heart that “ is this idols save your life and take to heaven?” This inspiration changed his thinking, during this period came the real knowledge of God. Who is the real God, helping God and loving God. God must wipe away the tears of people those worshiping the God. He was searching the real God. At last he came to know that Jesus is the loving God, helping, comforting and giving peace and also blessing God. He came to know that Jesus can bless the people because he was undergoing tremendous poverty in his life during this period. With the help of one of his friend, start going to church with the aim that Jesus is the loving and blessing God but not having any change in his life. He was doing lot of sin during his childhood. Finally light of world entered his life.
Way of Salvation & Blessings...
He was living in very poverty not even able to eat food regularly. During the year of his technical college 3year study, he used to take one time meal per day because his father died and mother bed-ridden. He faced all these types of problems even after came to know Jesus. But he started praying to Jesus regularly in the church and house. He used to attend church regularly and bible study regularly. By his faithfulness, Jesus also doing wonders in his life. He completed his technical college study with all poverty and financial problems. On completion of his study, God gave him a job in Indian Air Force as a Radar technician miraculously. This is really a grace of God. He joined in the Indian Air Force and Jesus start blessing him with word of God and the fellowship of brothers and sisters. This was great interest in his life to follow Jesus. He came across lot of brothers and sisters and even lot of Pastors. He learned much about bible and came to know the meaning of Sin and Christian life. Came to know about sin and committed his life for Jesus. He took water baptism and anointed by sprit of God with tongues and start living for Jesus as a witness. During this period, he was sent for training in France to study about Flight Simulators and its functions. This was a real miracle in his life and the study was near about eight months. Jesus blessed him in his work place also.
God's Leading.....
. During this period, the spirit of God spoke to him for ministry and the burden for pastors. He used to be friendly with pastors and take part in their suffering and used help them. This brought him to the ministry of God in helping pastors. Finally God gave him a vision to stand for the Lord’s ministry and call for the Church planting Ministry.
When he was in Air-Force came to contact a drug addict after a convention meeting. At that day God spoke him to start addict re-habilitation center.
He came out from Indian Air Force and start working among his village people. Lot of people accepted Jesus Christ as personal saviour. This was a great help in going ahead with his ministry. He used to wait upon the Lord’s feet for His mighty leading. There was a great revival among the people of his village. Still he was waiting upon the Lord’s feet for His mighty plan.
One fine day Lord sent another miracle in his life and he went to Qatar for serving as a Simulator Engineer over there. On arrival in Qatar, he came to know that, this country is closed the door for gospel. Moreover this country is a Muslim country. He visited lot of underground churches in Qatar, finally came to know that there was no ministry among his own native people. No one is there to lead them. He started prayer meeting and then it become church service. He served and pasturing the church over there for 10 years.
During his stay in Qatar, he put seed for Glorious Ministry and established churches in INDIA. His vision of church planting become mobile.
Dedicated himself as a Servent of God....
One fine day Jesus told him to come to India, on accepting His call, he came to India and serving as a full time pastor and looking care of Glorious Ministry churches.
He started a bi-monthly magazine called Magimayin Malar. It means “Flower of Glory”. This magazine is very helpful in bringing the Glory of God to lot of people.
After settling in India, he faced problems like monthly supporting pastors, purchasing land and construction of churches and day to day running of family. Jesus miraculously took him to America for a conference. Initially he was very happy thinking that Lord is going to open great door for him in America. While in America, God gave him the Vision of 1000 Churches. But to his surprise, it turned to be a failure trip. Came to India with empty hand, and doing the ministry with a great struggle.
Waiting upon the Lord for His mighty guidance and leading.
As our ministry is church planting ministry, requirements are plenty. Lord must fulfill all of our needs.
